With time, the continuous moistening of the surface can lead to a greying resp. silvering layer, also known as "patina". Distinction between Teak and Yellow Balau Wood
Yellow Balau as well as Teak wood are very enduring and suitable to be used as garden furniture. The main difference lies in the colour: While Teak is more brownish, Yellow Balau holds a more strong yellow-red colour. Both are hardwood and very solid, but Teak is a little bit less strong but therefore more durable than Yellow Balau.
